The Floyd Country Store and Windfall Studios are proud to announce the release of a new CD by one of Floyd’s most cherished performers, Janet Turner. Her authentic, traditional mountain singing is true to her family home in Floyd, VA.
Janet has been known by many over the years because of her performing at the Floyd Country Store’s Friday Night Jamboree and with friends and neighbors. She is a true Floyd treasure and her music is now forever captured on this new CD, “When My Time Comes” for all to enjoy.
The CD has six Gospel tunes and 5 Old Time/Old Country songs that were chosen by Janet especially for this CD. “These songs are ones that have a special meaning for me and that I have been singing as long as I can remember,” said Janet. She delivers a beautiful performance in a unique voice that is true to her Appalachian roots.
