Recorded at Saturday Night Old Time dances at the store, the album features music for flatfooting, two-steps and walzes. You'll hear a square dance called and feel the energy from the dancers on the floor as they step to the lively beat of the Ramblers. The Slate Mountain Ramblers have been a mainstay of the dance and festival culture in Southwest Virginia and Western North Carolina for 20 years. Led by fiddler Richard Bowman, they are frequent award winners at fiddler's conventions. They are great favorites at the Country Store, and never fail to keep the dancers delighted and dancing till the very last tune fades away. 18 tunes on the album, finishing with Breaking up Christmas!
