You can count on music and dancing every Friday evening, Americana music every Saturday afternoon and traditional mountain music jamming every Sunday. Many Saturday evenings we feature an old-time dance or concert. Click on ‘Events on Stage‘ for a listing of upcoming events.
On music nights the store remains open late and we serve soup, sandwiches, ice cream and home baked goods.
Some of the finest old-time musicians around turn up on stage at the store, enjoying the energy and enthusiasm of an audience that truly appreciates traditional music.
Schedule
The Friday Night Jamboree happens every Friday, rain or shine, all year round. The first hour is gospel music and this is followed by two dance bands. We post our upcoming schedules as soon as they are available, so if you see an empty slot, check back soon for updates.
There is no reserved seating for the Jamboree, and it is often standing room only, so come early for seat. Tickets for the Jamboree are sold at the door only starting no earlier than 4:30 PM.
On Saturdays we have our Americana Afternoon starting at noon, followed by an Americana Open Mic at 1:30 PM. Each week we schedule a different performers to play anything from blues, bluegrass and country to the American roots music of Ireland and Africa. Every Sunday from 2 pm – 5 pm we have our Mountain Music Jams. Acoustic musicians of all levels are invited to come and play in an informal “round” style jam. All music lovers are invited to come and play or listen to an afternoon of impromptu live jams. This is an event dedicated to the sharing of the musical tradition and stories of this area– another way to enjoy the music and energy of Floyd. Please come and join us. This is a Free event.

The store is open six days a week:
Tuesday to Thursdays from 10 am to 5:30 pm
Fridays from 10 am to 11:00 pm
Saturdays from 9 am to 6:00 pm
Sundays from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm
The store remains open on evenings for special events.
