Floyd Country Store offers a “Pay It Forward” program to help feed members of the community. The idea is that people can purchase a Pay It Forward coupon and leave it at the store for someone to use.
One in six people in America are suffering at night and going to bed hungry, and one in five families live at or below the poverty line and Floyd is not excluded. The concept is an easy one; anyone can purchase a $10 Pay It Forward coupon, which will allow the recipient to choose from several different meals. A person in need of a meal can go to the counter and ask if there are any Pay It Forward coupons, no questions asked, and then choose which meal they want.
