American Heritage Music

Drummer

The store is an incubator for local heritage music and dancing. Year-round you can count on music and dancing every Friday evening, Americana music every Saturday afternoon and a traditional mountain music jam every Sunday. Many Saturday evenings we feature an old-time dance or concert.

For a listing of upcoming events check out our calendar. On music nights the store remains open late and we serve soup, sandwiches, ice cream and home baked goods.

Some of the finest old-time musicians around turn up on stage at the store, enjoying the energy and enthusiasm of an audience that truly appreciates traditional music.

The Friday Night Jamboree happens every Friday, rain or shine, all year round. The first hour is gospel music and this is followed by two dance bands. We post our upcoming schedules as soon as they are available, so if you see an empty slot, check back soon for updates.

The Jamboree has limited reserved seating and is often standing room only, so come early for seat.  Tickets for the Jamboree  are sold online and at the door. We open our ticket desk at approximately 4:45PM after we have had time to move all the store fixtures out of the way and set up the chairs.

Souvenirs on Stage

On Saturdays we have our Americana Afternoons starting at noon with different performers scheduled to play anything from blues, folk, jazz, rock & roll, bluegrass and country. It’s all American roots music. For information about performing, contact David by email. This is a free event.

Every Sunday from 1:30pm – 6:00 pm, we host a jam lead by a local Old Time or Bluegrass band. The Old-Time Jams is 1:30pm to 3:30 pm and the Bluegrass Jam is 4pm – 6pm. (*If there is a Sunday concert, the Bluegrass Jam may end early, call ahead or ask our team) Please come and join us. This is a free event.
