Food insecurity in many places in America is real. As of 2026 one in six people in the US are going to bed hungry, and one in five families live at or below the poverty line. Floyd County in not excluded from this. The Pay It Forward Program at the Floyd Country Store was started in 2017 and has served 1000s of free meals to those in need. We are hoping to keep the meals coming but we need the gracious help of the greater community to do that. We have folks that rely on this program on a regular basis.

Join us in welcoming the work of new artists Ruth Lefko and David Ferrell to the gallery space in our Soda Fountain! There will be an Ice Cream Social on Sunday, March 15th from 3 pm to 6 pm – Meet The Artists, plus free single scoop of ice cream!

The Handmade Music School, along with The Floyd Country Store, is excited to announce the 7th Annual Floyd County Old Time Music Get Together at the beautiful EcoVillage in Floyd County, Virginia! This amazing four day camp is scheduled for March 19 – 22, 2026.
